    1. πŸ™‚ I imagine it’s hard to listen to grown up music as much once you have kids. I hear kids music at work all the time. My office is next to the toddler room at the school I work at, so when I get home I have to listen to something that isn’t about twinkling stars, itsy bitsy spiders, etc.

  1. The only ones on your list I actually know are Imagine Dragons and Relient K! But the old album. I listen to Sadie Hawkins Dance when I want to smile – it’s just so fun and happy!

  2. *I’m sorry for how long this comment is and for the amount of caps that is in it. Proceed on.*

Oh my gosh. Where do I even begin. This is like one of the best lists ever! (Side note: I think I’m a week behind…I’m not really sure. Maybe I will do a two in one post and catch up. I’m slightly confused, but loving doing these lists!)

ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING by Needtobreathe is going to make it on my list. I’m a tad obsessed. I REALLY loved The Reckoning album. It was so different than anything they had done before. I’m excited about what this new album is going to be. It’s already preordered. Favorite older songs by them: We Could Run Away, Washed By The Water, Haley, and You Are Here.

I’m a fairly new fan of The Avett Brothers. So, I don’t have too much of their old stuff, but The Carpenter is one of the best albums I’ve heard.

Same goes with Mumford & Sons and the album Babel.

NIGHT VISIONS by IMAGINE DRAGONS — OH MY GOODNESS. I was just listening to this album the other day and the thought LITERALLY popped into my head about how it was one of the best albums I’ve heard in quite awhile.

My Head is An Animal by The Head and The Heart = Just. Yes.

Season One by All Sons and Daughters = Yes.

Anything Relient K will also make my list. They are just so, so good. K is for Karaoke is one of the most fun albums ever created. And all their old stuff is just too good.

I listened to a few stuff by Nickel Creek. You do know they are planning on releasing a new album right??? I think I saw that somewhere.

Rend Collective — I’m also newish to them as well. But, in April, I’m going to see them and Kari Jobe with a friend. Super excited! πŸ™‚

Our lists definitely look similar! I LOVE music. If only I could sing or play an instrument, I would try to make it in that world. ha!

    1. Ok, first off, your comment made me laugh out loud. I was seriously smiling the entire time I read it πŸ™‚ Anyway, embarrassing confession – I haven’t listened to Needtobreathe’s The Reckoning. I know that’s horrible, and I have no idea why I haven’t. But I am sure it is great.

All of The Avett Brother’s albums are amazing! The new the album the cleaner their sound. They used to be a lot rougher and bluegrassy, but have slowly started cleaning up their sound. I’m not complaining. I love it all!

I am so happy that you know who RelientK is because most people I talk to have no idea who they are! My favorite song by them is “Getting Into You” and I cannot for the life of me remember which album that is right now.

I am SO STINKIN EXCITED for Nickel Creek’s new album! It comes out April 1st and I am totally buying it! My husband and I just bought tickets to see them in May for our anniversary in Salt Lake City and I CANNOT wait!!

I must say that I am very jealous that you get to see Rend Collective in concert! I so want to see them. I sing “Build Your Kingdom Here” in our worship band at church and it is one of my favorites.

Also, I started doing my lists the first full week of January. I think I have done them all (I hope I didn’t skip any). Can’t wait to see your lists of albums. I know I will love them all!

      1. The Reckoning is completely different than their earlier albums, in my opinion, but it is one of the bests I’ve heard in quite awhile!

Relient K will always be the band that got me through middle/high school. haha I have all of their albums and “Getting Into You” is also one of my favorites. Once, I took that song and broke it down verse by verse and compared it to my walk with God. It was pretty amazing and I hope I find that journal one day. I would love to read it again. Also, the song is on the Two Lefts Don’t Make A Right…But Three Do. Don’t you just love their album names. They are so funny and creative.

“Build Your Kingdom Here” is so good. I’ve seen Kari Jobe once before and it was one of the best worship experiences of my life. That may be cliche, but God did some serious work on me at that concert. πŸ™‚
