Tiny House Inspiration

Happy Monday y’all!

I wanted to share with you all the inspiration for our tiny house. This design is just about perfect! I have a couple of things I want to do differently but for the most part this is what we want our tiny house to look like! This is a pretty long video, so watch it when you’ve got some time. šŸ™‚

  1. I don’t think I could hand it – I’d feel suffocated – but its neat as can be. I had to laugh when he’s like, here in the living room area. That’s not a living room area šŸ™‚
My favorite part about it? The dog šŸ™‚

    1. I totally feel the same way about the “living room”. That’s one of the things we want to tweak with the plans. šŸ™‚
Their dog is adorable, and fits much better in a tiny house than our golden retriever will. šŸ™‚

  2. I have so much respect for you + your dream of living tiny! Right now, I’m saving money to purchase a home/land to start a farm, but the land itself it’s what’s really important. My guy + I have agreed that if there is no home on the land, we’ll build a tiny home like in the video + live that way as long as possible. There’s something so beautiful + humble about living just with what you need + not surrounded by excess.

    1. I totally agree about the simple living of a tiny house. It really makes you humble yourself and let of the stuff that we so often think gives us value.
Your farm dream sounds fantastic! I love reading your blog with your farm journey as well, and your tips on urban farming are great.

  3. I adore this, and I love what you are doing. If my husband and I were not buying a family home, this would be our first choice. We are discussing buying some land farther up north though, maybe to retire to someday, so the dream isn’t dead. šŸ™‚ You are an inspiration – I’m so glad I found this blog so I could follow your journey!

    1. Thank you so much for following our journey. It’s certainly a journey I wish could be accomplished quicker than it will be. We have so much work to do to our current house before we can sell/rent it. Sadly that must be done before work on the tiny house can start.

  4. OH, I loved this one!! Are you thinking of keeping the wood walls? We were thinking to make it feel more cozy but open inside, to do the white pine tongue and groove on walls and floor!

    1. Our plan is to have white walls. And we haven’t completely decided on the all of the cabinet doors yet. Probably won’t be white though. I think it would be too much white for my taste. šŸ™‚
I do love the look of the white pine tongue and groove! That will look so good!

    1. The clutter free aspect of tiny homes makes me so very happy. šŸ™‚ But that really just comes with the less stuff and making sure that the few things you own have a “home”. It is inspiration to live the same way in our current 1,000 square foot home.
