Find Beauty Friday | Shorelands Nature Preserve

This week has been pretty mundane, except for Monday evening. On Monday Lyle and I drove out to Layton (about 20 minutes from our city) to search for land for our tiny house! After a LONG time of driving around on the wrong roads, we finally find the area we needed. The land we were looking at is agricultural land near the shoreline marshes of the Great Salt Lake.

Guys this land is beautiful! It feels so open and expansive, but it’s only about 5 minutes from town and the interstate. The property was gated off so we are hoping to meet with a Realtor and get a closer look at the nearly 2.5 acres plot of land.

Anyway, as we drove to the end of the “country” road that the land is off we came across The Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve. We had never even heard of this place, but man what a beautiful hidden gem only 20 minutes from home! Check out the pictures I took of the preserve as a storm was heading our way:

    1. Thanks! I told you I was excited about them. šŸ™‚ That storm in these pictures was intense. We’ll see how it goes with this land after meeting with a Realtor and getting more info about it.

  1. Whoa! These are gorgeous! And you’re moving into a tiny house?? I love you already. I wish I had time RIGHT THIS SECOND to spend some quality time with your blog, but I’m just going to have to look forward to it tonight.
