I am so excited to link up with Kiki over at In Its Time! Each month she provides questions for bloggers to answer. Through this link up we all have the chance to get to know each other better and make new blog friends! Who wouldn’t love that? 🙂 Thank you to Kiki and her co-host Meg for hosting this month’s link-up!
What is spring like where you live?
Spring is so amazing here in Utah! The sun finally comes out of hiding from its long winter hibernation. The snow on the mountains begins to melt, and I can finally hit the hiking trails. The weather is so perfect with temperatures in the 60s!
What’s your favorite springtime accessory?
I love, love, love my thin spring-time scarves! Even after long winters I am still not ready to give up scarves. I actually just bought some beautiful fabric that I plan on making scarves out of so keep your eye out for a tutorial!
Do you have any springtime traditions?
Yes I do! My hubby and I spend a weekend cleaning up our backyard and we set up our patio furniture. On the evening we set up our furniture we cook out on the grill and have our first dinner of the season outside. After we eat we usually play bocce ball. I adore our little tradition!
What is your favorite spring treat?
My favorite spring treat is Easter candy of course! Cadbury Eggs, Reese’s Eggs, and Whopper’s Robin Eggs!
Favorite spring holiday?
Easter – no contest. This holiday is so special because it is a reminder that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died on the cross to forgive my sins and He defeated death rising on the third day! If you don’t understand what I am talking about please email me and nothing would make me happier to tell you more about this!
What’s your favorite thing to do in the spring?
I alluded to it in the first question but I will tell you more about it! Lyle and I celebrate Spring by pulling out our hiking boots and hitting the trails. Hiking is our sweet puppy dog, Daisy’s, favorite thing about Spring as well!
Bonus challenge: find and capture your favorite sign of spring and tell us about the photo!
I live really close to the school I work at. On the first day of Spring Lyle and Daisy showed up at work to walk me home.
I took this picture of the first blooms of Spring that popped up in our
flower weed bed.
