I Just Don’t Get It {A post by the dog behind the blog}

When I sat down to write today’s post, Daisy came up to me and insisted that I take a break. She decided that for once she wanted a chance to share her thoughts with you all. In case you do not know who Daisy is she is my beautiful golden retriever pup…well I guess she’s not a pup anymore. She is a little over 3 years old and has a ton of attitude. Without further ado, here she is!

Golden Retreiver in the Uinta Mountains Utah

Hi there! My name is Daisy, like my mom shared with you above. I don’t know why she had to steal my thunder. I can introduce myself. And I for sure don’t know what she is talking about with that whole attitude thing. I don’t have an attitude. I mean, come on, who wouldn’t blow their breath and roll their eyes if they had to sit, speak, or lay down just to get a snack. Am I right?

Anyway, I just wanted to see what this whole blogging thing was about. My mom spends SOOOO much time doing this, and I just needed to know what was so special about this computer thingy that holds her attention over me. Personally, I’m not quite sure I get it. I would much rather play with my no stuffing rabbit toy….

wait a minute where is that thing…

I’ll be right back…

OK, I’m back.

I had to go find him. He gets a little scared without me, but I found him so all’s good.

You know what else I don’t get – besides this computer thingy – why won’t my mom let me sleep in bed with her? My dad always lets me jump up in their big comfy bed as soon as mom leaves for work, and I really like that. But mom NEVER lets me! Their bed is way more comfortable than mine, and I think she should share. My bed smells because the cat they call Kris-P likes to lay it and rubs her gross cat smell all over it. It’s not hers! But she still insists on laying in it. šŸ˜¦ If you guys get a chance you should try to convince my mom to let me sleep in their bed.

…And while you’re at it could you see if you can get her to give me more of the yummy food she eats? I get a little tired of that dry crunchy food she gives me. Why do humans think that icky dry stuff is just as good as the juicy burger or steaks they eat? I’d like to see my human eat that kibble. She always tries to use that line, “Look Daisy it has real chicken pieces and dried veggies! It’s the same thing I’m eating.” Yeah right! I just don’t get it! It’s so not the same thing.

I must say, I might actually get this whole blogging obsessions…it’s kinda fun…

…I think I hear someone walking in the alley behind our house. I better go check it out and bark at them…

  1. what a cute post! i created a blog for my dog where she posts pictures of what she’s doing because my dad misses her now that i’m married & we both moved out. i’ve been toying with the idea of letting her take over my blog every now & then! šŸ™‚

  2. I have 4 dogs, so if I let one write a blog post, the other 3 will be jealous šŸ™‚
    I’m bad – I love my dogs sleeping in bed with me. Great snugglers. šŸ™‚

    1. I can definitely see your conflict there. Can’t have one pup getting preferential treatment šŸ™‚ I don’t think your bad letting your pups sleep with you šŸ™‚ It’s definitely a personal choice. My dog is just so big and I’m selfish with my space when I’m sleeping. I don’t even like to cuddle with my hubby. I like lots of room when I’m falling asleep šŸ™‚
