Hey y’all, first off so sorry if any of you have had difficulties viewing my posts through Bloglovin’ I have had some technical difficulties during this moving to self-hosting phase. Thank you all for being patient with me.
So on to my big news, which you can probably guess already guess…Moments for the journey has gone self-hosted!!! I am no longer a wordpress.com blog!! I am so very excited for this BIG move. It has been really tough, but I have learned a lot and I am excited for learning even more as I advance.
As you may have noticed, with this move to self-hosting, I also redesigned! Now I know what some of you may be thinking, another redesign, really? But guys what better time to redesign than during this big move. With wordpress.com I did not have the flexibility to design my blog exactly how I wanted. I was able to get close to my dream blog design, but it wasn’t perfect.
I have spent countless hours on this redesign (since I had to learn as I went) and I must say I am very proud of it. I love my color scheme, which was inspired by this pin. I love my fonts which I found through this pin. And I love my stationary menu bar (inspired by Dear Harper).
I have had a blast learning some CSS coding, html coding, and designing my header, button, signature, sidebar titles, and social icons. Let me tell you I did a serious happy dance when it all came together (just ask Lyle).
| So what do you guys think? Do you see something I should change? |
Love it, love it!! In your intro, change the word buddle to bundle.
OH! Hehe, that’s frustrating! You have no idea how many times I read through that π I’m glad you saw that for me. It’s fixed now.
Congrats on making the leap to self-hosting WordPress. You’re going to love it much more.
I am so far!
Glad you got it all straightened out! I’d click on the link on my feed and come up with a big nothing! However, your new design is very dainty and adorable! Well done!
I’m glad it’s fixed now too. I was getting really frustrated with it!
Oh and by the way, thanks for sticking around, and not ditching me through all the technical difficulties. I lost a few followers during it π¦
