First, let me just say that this year is going by WAY too fast. Second, let me also say that I have really failed at the blog thing this month. My last post was on June 12th and I feel like a slacker :).
Anyway, on to the my June report card. Let’s see how well I followed through on my June Resolutions, shall we?
Read 3 books – 100%
My plan was to finish Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, The Princess Bride by William Goldman, and The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I finished two of those books that I had planned on reading (Out of the Silent Planet and The Help. I fully intended on reading The Princess Bride as well, but then I bought a few other books that I just couldn’t wait to read, so I wasn’t able to fit The Princess Bride in this month. But I was able to complete the 3 other books I had bought. They were (drum roll please)…Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth and Partials by Dan Wells. I enjoyed all of the 5 books I read this month a lot and I have finally caught up on by Goodreads goal of 24 books this year!
Get up off of the couch and do something outside at least 3 times a week. – 100%
Unlike last month, Lyle and I did awesome with this one! We did a ton of hiking and backpacking…which leads to my next goal…
Go backpacking at least twice. – 100%
Check! And check! In fact we went backpacking 3 times this month. We enjoyed beautiful Wall Lake in the Uintahs, Baer Trail in Fruit Heights, Utah, and Shingle Lake in the Uintahs.
Clean the pigsty that is our house and keep it clean. – 50%
At one point this month, Lyle and I had clean the house (at least to presentable, definitely not spotless), but unfortunately I failed at keeping it that way 😦 I think I am going to have to try this one again this month.
Start developing the girl’s small group lesson series on evangelism. – 100%
This resolution was very vague, but only because I still have plenty of time to work on it. I did start developing ideas for it, which is great for when I actually need to sit down and start putting it all together. I am pretty excited about it (I might have to share it with you guys once we start it).
Overall grade for June: 90%
I have to say that I feel like I did pretty well this month. How did you do last month on your resolutions?
