Did I make the grade? – May’s Report Card

May Report Card

Go through all of my clothes and donate everything I no longer wear: 100%

Lyle was out-of-town for almost a week this month so I used part of that time to do this. It worked out perfectly because I didn’t have any distractions, and I was able to just work on that. I filled up two trash bags with clothes and shoes!

Read at least 2 books: 100%

I actually doubled my goal! I read/reread 4 great books. I finished the Delirium series (I was working on the last book of that series). I reread Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. This is one of my all time favorite books (and I am not much of a Nicholas Sparks reader). I also reread another one of my all time favorite books – When Crickets Cry by Charles Martin. And to finish off the month I read Wrapped in Rain by Charles Martin.

Get up off of the couch and do something outside at least 3 times a week: 75%

I started off pretty good with this goal earlier on in the month, but the third week of the month killed my grade on this one. It was the last week of school, and needless to say the principal and I were wiped out. By Wednesday of that week neither one of us thought we would be able to make it through the rest of the week. It was sooo busy. We had field day, assemblies, field trips, and yearbooks. (On a completely unrelated note: remember in my April Resolutions, how I had put finish the yearbook as a goal. Well, the yearbook turned out great! I had some people tell me that it was the best yearbook the school had had since it opened!) Anyway, back to the point, because that last week was so busy, by the time I got home I was too tired and lazy to do anything.

Lyle and I did have some pretty fun outdoor time in spite of that lazy week. We played bocce ball in the backyard, we cleaned our backyard, we went for a hike on Memorial Day on the Waterfall Canyon trail, we had a couple of cookouts, and I even went on a field trip to Wheeler Historic Farm and saw lots of animals. If you want to see pictures from our hike to the waterfall, you can check them out here.

Overall, I think that this month was a good start, but I definitely think I will make this a goal in June because we can do better.

Do laundry at least twice a week: 80%

Like the outdoor resolution, this one started out great, but has slowly gone down hill as the end of the month approached. Oh well. I will keep working at it šŸ™‚

Overall grade: 89%

Not too bad šŸ™‚ Keep your eye out for June’s resolutions in the next couple of days.

How did you do with your goals in May?
